hi just put the trans in my 79 I put in a rebuild turbo 350 I think it come from a 84 half ton now I can not get the drive shaft in .it seams too long I brought the car with no trans in it and tought the turbo 350s are all the same . does anybody know have to measure this ???

So... ya put the shaft into the tranny, and then not be able to instal the rear....

?
So how much do you miss by, to get the u-joints to sit in the sadles, on the pinion shaft of the rear end.?

hey buddie i think your vette came with turbo 350 with 6 in tailhousing and some off the trucks came with 9 in tailhousing you need to ask for a short shaft 350 and the one out off a truck will have a diff servo in it will not shift as hard hope this helps johnny
