Yes I did, only thing is, I'm goin' to go with the 3 gang pulley. That way I shouldn't have any prob with stuff lining up. I'd still like to get Paragon's number. Ya never know. Thanks Bro!

I understand the 3-gang theory, I added a single groove pulley to the stock 2-gang years ago on another vehicle, fabricated bushings and used longer grade-8 bolts and ran for many years, anyway here's some more info for your files. Paragon Reproductions, Inc., (800)882-4688, Tech support (810)655-4641, www.corvette-paragon.com, they have an informative catalogue and are a GM authorized resto parts manufacturer. Keep on keepin' on.

Not-chet. Be sure to use an "o" in my address, not a zero, and all lower case letters.

No more rattle from the piggy bank. Gonna hav'ta put on the brakes 'til I scrape up some more scratch. I'll be postin' Part 2, when the grass is a little greener, so bare with me friends. Would ya believe, a 10 sec truck? A twin turboed 454 is hidin' under the hood. Belongs to the guy that built my 454.

Here's a little breakdown of the process so far. Ya gotta have something pretty stout ta lift a 454, them babies are real heavy. They use the same motor mounts as a SB. In order to get the drive shaft installed, after the engine and tranny are in, I think it's best to disassemble the front yoke. Then reassemble after the yoke is inserted into the tranny. Be sure that the oil pan is for a '74 or earlier BB Vette, or you will have a clearance prob with the steering. Pay close attention to header clearance. The idler arm can be a prob as well as the steering box. Use a short water pump, and a 6 3/4" crank pulley. After the piggy bank is replenished, I'll be goin' for a new radiator. A nice thick one made of alluminum. Carburation and intake are still up in the air, seriously lookin' at dual quads. Carters! Hood clearance? A tasteful scoop will cure that. Ya, I still have quite a shopping list, but at this stage of the game, I feel that I should do any add on mods. Once she's back on the road, I won't want to take 'er out of service to do anything more. (for a while ) If you're goin' to take on this conversion, take your time, and most of all have fun with it. A couple of ya told me that deadlines just cause stress, and boy are ya'll right. I'm goin' to step back now and take a deep breath to get ready for the next steps.
