Thanks Buckshot, but ya, I'm up on the pilot bearing. Not my first rodeo, just first time corralin' a Vette.

The pan is hitting on the power steering cyl., where it ataches to the relay rod. So, a pan for a Vette WITH power steering, should be the one I need.

You're making progress. Have you considered the Chevy needle bearing pilot bearing. I'm putting one in mine. Should be bullet proof.

The pilot bearing vs. the pilot bushing is the way to go.

Forgot to mention but I think the needle bearing one is for pickups, so that might help the parts guy find it. Will try to find my P/N.

I have been blessed! I am so greatful, the new oil pan showed up today. Now, I can really pick up some speed to finish the install. Many thanks go out to my new "Parts Man", for havin' exactly what I needed! ( I won't reveal who he is, 'cause I'm keepin' him all to myself. ) Thanks a million Bro!

Yep, I'm old school. My resource wishes to remain annonnommiss (how's that for misspellin' a word ), and I shall respect his wish. Besides, I don't want him to run out of parts. He may have somethin' else I need. Don't get me wrong, I really appreciate all the help from everyone here at CF. The best bunch of Vette nuts in the world. My hat is off to those in the know, that don't mind sharin' their knowledge with not only me, but everyone else who needs a little, or a lot, of info. I'm not done with the "Starship", so I'll probably have ta bug y'all again and again. And many thanks to Patrick, Amanda, and everyone else behind the scenes, for givin' us such a great place to gather. A park like setting, with trees, a stream, green grass, sunshine, great friends to play with, and ...................... a parkin' lot full of Vettes.
