Well,............ya got two choices......... 1. I can stop what I'm doin', go into town (20 miles one way), go to Longs, get the pics transfered from my camera onto disc, put them up on Photo Bucket, and post them about 9 tonight, or......... 2. I can go on with my prep, and have that sucka in the hole by 10 am tomorrow. I take it back, you don't have a choice. The choice is mine! ....and I choose number 2.

I certainly hope you have been busy with that RAT motor and is the reason we have'nt seen much of you here, you' been screwin' around all winter comin' up with poor excuses like a little bad weather, birthday's, blah blah blah. Lets 'git that thing screamin' Dave. Oh, one other thing, I never saw no stinkin' tree's when I was in Nevada, have fun man.

O.K., I have a question...... Just for grins, I pulled the bell off the 350 and bolted it on to see if it fit the 454 with the 168 tooth flywheel. It does. So.....my question is.... Why not use it? I can take back the new bell, and get my money back. We had a discussion, some time back, about this very issue. The decision was that there would not be enough clearance for the flywheel. Hmmmm.... I don't want to screw it up now. Any advice? If no responces, I'm goin' for it!

I'd use the old bellhousing, you don't need more spare parts laying around, and there's a few other smallblock stuff that fits the rat motor such as the starter, distributor, and carb although the smallblock Q-JET was rated at a max of 750 CFM and the bigblock Q-JET was rated at 800 CFM. We got grass growin' taller here in Michigan than those little midget pinion pines you call tree's in the far west.

The Pinion Pines are the really BIG trees, I'm talkin' about the gray Sage Brush. If ya go about 30 miles further West, we have Sugar Pines that are over 8' across at the stump. That's a 10/4 on the starter and the distributor. For a carb, I'm usin' a Carter AFB. When I was at Summit today, I couldn't find a dual quad manifold for a BB, or I would def concider runnin' 2 AFB's. The 350 has a Carter AFB Competition Series. I have 5 old AFB's in my stockpile, that came from cars that I scrapped out years ago. I don't mind spare parts lyin' around, thats where I got my 3sp stick w/od. Also 1, 4 sp Sag, now 2 M-22s, a straight up 3 sp, 1 set of 2-0-2's and a few other extra SB parts, like a 400 crank. Oh ya, a 4 bolt 350 that needs rings. Ya, I'm a Long Haired Red Neck Pack Rat, but it's all good Schmidt! Sorry pg, I forgot to check on the locking hood pins. Next time, I promise.

Hi Starship, youve got a major milestone in front of you, so lets get er done. It seems like you'll be on the rode again soon. As far as the hood pins, no rush: here's my Honey Do List for this weekend, Fix attic far, replace B P weather stripping on vette, mow lawn & sharpen the mower blade on mower.Good luck on geting half of that done.
