Hi All,   I pulled the 283 about a month and a half ago to have it rebuilt.  Now the papers I wrote all the connections on is gone.  Does anyone know the correct wiring for the starter.  Other than the main battery cable.

As I remember.....
Two to the solinoid, usually taped or strapped together in some way.
One, by it's self, to the same post as the bat cable.

Wires have memories, let the ends hang loosely, and they can sometimes tell ya where they go.

Thanks, I found some irregularities under the dash.  So, I went and bought a wiring diagram today.  What a mess.....looks like it had a dash fire once upon a time.  I see a new harness in my future.
Thanks again.

i think there's another wire that bypasses the ballast resistor so the coil gets 12v when cranking
