I've been looking at ecklers, but I'm not really sure which kit I should get for the monospring conversion. What all do I need? Is there a complete conversion kit that will come with everything?

Ecklers front conversion kit, part number, A7181. $789.99
rear kit, part number, A7138. $ 489.99

The complete system that I chose, see below.....

That's everthing you'll need for a complete conversion. The system bolts right in, with no mods required.

So far I've bought:

Holeshot 2400 Torque Converter
Deep Transmission Oil Pan
B&M Transmission Cooler
4 Edelbrock IAS performer shocks and replacement coils
Replacement passenger side lock mechanism and window knob
New Power Steering Pump
Black Magic Electric Fan Kit (part# 210)

Question on the monospring rear kit.
It says I'll need to drill four new holes for it. Is this something that's going to be pretty hard to screw up? I tend to not like drilling holes in the vette if possible.

Which kit are you referring to, and does it say where the hole are to be drilled?

Check out these pages and explore your options.

O.K., I just looked up the A7138. The drilling sounds like a simple operation.
The kit in my '80 didn't require drilling, unless my helper did it and didn't tell me.
He actually did most of the instal and let me help.
Tomorrow, I'll go out and take a look to see if I can give ya any pointers.

I couldn't wait, just went and took a look.  No drilling was used to mount my rear system. The '63 thru '79 setup must be just a little different. The only points where you might have to drill, is in the differential crossmember, and is easy enough to get to. It would be for the "spring responce setting blocks".
