If you go aftermarket you will need to read and complete the TSB on it or you will get an SYS message on your speedo.

Not sure if the '93 is the same but...I did it in my '87. It works fine as long as I don't run the volume up on the head unit too far. It has it's own amp and in conjunction with the speaker amps the extra power will make the speakers cut out. It took all of about 20 minutes to do and the only problem was finding the main power wire to the speaker amps with no wiring diagram. That was 15 minutes alone, LOL! It turned out to be a pink wire and once hooked to a source,(stereo antenna power feed), It worked great. I did it in the parking lot of the stereo store I bought the dash panel kit from. No problems to date. (knock on wood). Not very technical but .....

I am not sure its in there but I have it at home.  I can send it to you (Porkyyy or who ever else wants it) tonight if you will message me with your email address.  I will post the fix now though:

If "SYS" is displayed in the LCD section of the instrument panel cluster after the customer installs a new (aftermarket) stereo, he will need to do the following:

1. Buy (2) 1 kilo-ohm 1/2 watt resistors. [Radio Shack part # 271-023. They sell them as a 2pk for .29 cents.]
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the receiver.
4. Connect one end of both resistors to ignition power. (Yellow wire in the car)
5. Connect the other end of one resistor to the purple/white wire in the car.
6. Connect the other end of the second resistor to the grey/black wire in the car.
7. Cover all connections and completely cover the resistors.
8. Reconnect the negative battery cable.

The '93 must be different then the '87. I haven't had any problems with mine and used no resistors. Good luck with it.
