The ZR1 was introduced for the '90 model year.What makes it different from the other Vettes,for starters,is that glorious LT5 engine.4 cams,32 valves,8000 rpm redline.It could only be had with the 6 speed,Z51 suspension,well,you get the idea.Everything that made the "standard" Vette better was in the ZR1.And yes,it cost a lot more;looked different too,if you can spot the difference.ZR1's all had a wider rear to clear the 315 series tires.
