I remember my ZR-1 pulled strong in the upper gears (4th, 5th and 6th). It felt like the sense of acceleration never tapered off even in the 110+ range and up. My LT4 Vette was strong, but the ZR-1 was a monster. I'll try and find it and post it. I worked at Mercury Marine in Stillwater, Oklahoma for a bit and that is where they assembled the LT5. I looked around but didn't see any left over engines- but I guess after about a decade I wouldn't- Haha but a man can dream! (in reply to Clayton) Post #: 5

Lingenfelter had some (probably still does) badass packages for the LT5.  They put out more hp than the similiar cubed LSX engines, though they cost something like $7k-$10k more...
