I found this vid on the 'net. Still King of the Hill!

(Well..until GM introduced the C6 Z06, that is).

Sure looks like a C5 dash, and the text next to the clip says it's a C5 and a ZR-1.

I remember my ZR-1 pulled strong in the upper gears (4th, 5th and 6th). It felt like
the sense of acceleration never tapered off even in the 110+ range and up. My LT4
Vette was strong, but the ZR-1 was a monster.

Man I miss that one.

Very cool video. I saw another one like that. I'll try and find it and post it. It's on a track though so I don't know what mods had been done to the cars. they were numbered like race cars so it's possible that they were all hopped up.

Man you have to love a ZR1! I worked at Mercury Marine in Stillwater, Oklahoma for a bit and that is where they assembled the LT5. I looked around but didn't see any left over engines- but I guess after about a decade I wouldn't- Haha but a man can dream!

Valves and quad cams hold up pretty well, huh?
Lingenfelter had some (probably still does) badass packages for the LT5.  They put out more hp than the similiar cubed LSX engines, though they cost something like $7k-$10k more...

Hi,guys.I don't remember exactly where, but on that streetfire.net site there's an insane 700hp ZR-1 doing 10.6 in the quarter on street tires.I only have a '96 LT-1,but the ZR-1 is still wicked.Especially the one on that clip.Find it,guys, you'll love it!! Always a friend, Joe.
