Hey guys im out in Hawaii and i was wondering if you guys could help me. I just ordered a 2008 corvette coupe with the performance package and 6speed paddle shift automatic, the only reason i got the automatic is cus my dad has a 2007 z06 corvette and i drove it and i dont want to be worried about shiftting and when i take it to the track i want to run bracket racing and want to be consistent with the automatic.
How fast does the 2008 corvette coupe with performance package and paddle shift automatic run on the 1/4 mile? is it a dramatic drop in time going with the automatic vrs. the standard.
also what are some aftermarket performance parts do you guys recoment me putting on to get into the 11 second range?( i am in sea level so that may improve it)
also i was wondering if they have a B&M shift kit that i can improve my automatic to run just as fast as a standard car?

The difference in time is (according to Chevy and Car and Driver) the 0-60 mph will be about 4.3 seconds (auto) versus 4 seconds flat (manual), and the 1/4 mile will be about 12.6 seconds @ 115 mph (auto) versus 12.4 seconds @ 117 mph (manual). Chevy says the auto will be 0.2 seconds and 2 mph slower in the 1/4 mile times and 0.3 slower to 60 mph. And the 0-100 times are 9.8 seconds (auto) and 9.5 seconds (manual) so again a 0.3 second difference to 100 mph.
