Okay, so I read a few articles and came to the conlcusion (myself with no expertise on the subject) from reading non-biased tests that AMSOIL is currently the best fully synthetic oil on the market. It also came on the market before Mobil 1, which surprised me to say the least since I've only heard of it for the first time very recently. I bought a nascar style stock car for oval-track racing and found the the team that owned the car before me used AMSOIL oil for the chevy 350 c.i. motor and that they didn't change the oil but once during an entire racing season and had the oil lab tested after the mid-season oil change and the lab found the oil to actually be more lubricating than when it was first put into the engine although there were signs of slight breakdown, hence the change. They were also kind enough to disclose the lab's papers to my team upon purchase to show they weren't pulling this out of ther a$$. They must have had a good sponsor to pay for the amount of tests the lab put it through. The season has about 20 races on short track venues approaching a mile long so to me, that is outstanding. If anybody that has credible knowledge through testing or career background your input would be appreciated to those of us who want the best oil to put in our new C6 vettes from the first oil change. I surely hope I don't get any posts stating " and Royal Purple just made the car feel quicker and more responsive". That has no scientific backing and if your car needed an oil change that bad then it probably had been long overdue in my opinion. Thank you so much for the input.
