I have a 64 coupe,it was a power glide now a turbo 350 trans behind a 327.I cant get the trans out.I did a frame off on the car, and put the running gear in the frame before I put the body back on.I was thinking the turbo and the power glide were the same size.It bolted right up to the cross member. But wont clear the motor +cross member to come out.Would you have to pull the motor to get a power glide out? Or is the 350 turbo just a little bigger in some area as to not let it come out.Has any one turned there trans, crossmember into a removeable cross member? so you could unbolt it and drop the trans down, with less trouble? Thanks

If afraid that you are stuck with having to pull the engine forward to remove the tranny. I'm sure that the bell on the tranny will hit on the fire wall and not allow it to slide back far enough to drop the front of the tranny down and out. I'll dig around and see if I can come up with an aftermarket crossmember.
