Hey y'all,
I have a '73 stingray vette....Im trying to restore my vette for a graduation present for when i graduate from college in 2 1/2 years...right now i have a STOCK 350 creat engine that doesnt even have 1hour of run time on it. I want to know what type of minor up grades i can do to it to make it have a little more get up and go! I want to do like a cam and carb or something around those lines..I also need to find a killer side pipe kit or just a plain bad @ss exhaust system....Any suggestions??

Austin

Edelbrock RPM intake manifold, 750 cfm carb., HEI Distributor, Headers, Dual exhaust, then pick a cam and some new lifters too if you like.....  The bolt on's will add some zip to it, the cam will add even more....

Welcome and the two best sidepipe choices IMO are '69 factory sidepipes (very expensive if you get the repro chrome covers & insulators) and Hooker nest-of-snakes sidepipes (not as expensive but if you live in the rust belt and plan to drive in the winter, I recommend black).  Both sound awesome.

Good luck on your project!  73s are great!

That was really uncalled for. It's a new member asking for help. Don't be a dick.

As for the original question. If you can save up for it this particular kit will REALLY boost your get up and go.

It's $1700~ and brings your stock engine up to about 380-410 hp. I personally have it on my vette and damn it's fast.

Not at all, not at all.   You just step right up there.

BTW....
Creat, a combo of crate and great.
So hey, what ever rings your boat.
Or is it floats your bell? Hmmmm,.....dips your snuff?
