Since I live in a colder climate I store the Vette from Nov - April.

I do these things
-Fill tank with gas and add stabilizer
-Park car on a carpet to reduce moisture
-Cover car with a breathable cover
-Star a run for a good 1/2 hour every 2-3 weeks

Any other suggetions ?

Roll your windows down a couple of inches, so moisture isn't trapped inside the car.
I put the car on blocks ( stands ) to get the tires off the ground to prevent flat spots.

Great advise .............. I do roll down the windows approx. 1/2 inch all year round.
I also heard, from the Local Corvette club, that spreading a bit of " No Touch Foam ", on the rubber around the Targa top and all windows and doors, helps keep the rubber from cracking. I guess you know what a new set of rubber cost ?

....and don't forget to add some anti-freeze to your headlight fluid, ya don't want any cracked lenses.

I don't run mine that often in the winter but I do keep a battery tender on it.

Never have done anything when storing my vette. I simply remove the battery and store in the house, throw down a carpet, throw the car bag down, drive on it, throw the dust cover over it, toss some dry packs in the bag and zip it up. Good to go all winter. NEVER had a problem getting her up and running on the first try. Been storing her that way for 32 years!!

I leave the battery in the car but it drains in about a week. So I need to charge the battery 1 / month when I fire it up.

The Battery is blocked by that control module thingy over top of it. ( See bottom right hand corner of picture.)

I was thinking of getting a trickle charger. What do guys think ?

I guess you can tell that I am not that mechanically inclined. That's why this site is the best thing I could have ever seen.

Gary I use a charger also but I use a float charger there is a difference in chargers. The float charger only charges win it calls for charging so it wont over charge the battery. you can leave them plugged in the hole winter session. Also I put moth balls in the car and under the hood this helps with Mice.Mice love the silicone plug wires.
