That may be why you have the '90 -'91 cross breed. Don't know if ya have any recourse in your situation.

Well, if it was 12 years ago, and everything is decent now, I wouldn't be too worried about it if you plan on keeping it and driving it. Your resale value will be lower though. Water damage is usually in 3 categories: "soft parts" like upholstery and carpet - if you don't have mold and mildew problems and annoying smells that won't go away, no worries. Electrical - after 12 years, any moisture damage to electrical connections and components is likely long over with. Odds are that after the damage, someone went through and fixed anything questionable and took care of the connections. Rust - floorboards, frame, especially where there are welds with less than excellent paint and powder-coating coverage. Put it up on a rack, and go over all the joints, mounting points, and hard connections (suspension). If it was fixed right, you should be fine. I know I have had a few "rescued" cars in my day, and had really good luck, especially considering the value in the purchase. bill.

Your car looks great, you were a happy camper with a new Vette yesterday, don't let a Carfax report today bum you out, like wrwalke says, in 12 years those problems have been fixed, so forget the report and enjoy your ride. PG.

Yeah, you guys are right. I just let the rain get me down especially when everytime my vette has wet door sills and smells after being wet all day. Usually takes 2 days to dry out. Gonna get a new windshield header/ pillar piece. Not from GM... sorry just can't swing $349.00. Hey, its still pretty and gets heart pumping sometimes. - Kevin

Flood damage doesn't necessitate changin the front' and rear ends. Everything workin' ok is ... OK, but I'd still want to know history. And the dashboard swap? That means airbags, airbag wiring, etc., ... all the way to the front end... I'd see the dealer, if it came from a dealer, and get some 'adjustments'. From him, or an attorney...
