OK, anyone know of a "good" way to add XM to my 96 CE? I want to make it as integral as possible (not too concerned about the antenna, more so the radio itself) I thought about the XM Roady or Delphi Sky fi but I think those use the FM modulator (where you tune your radio to a certain FM station) but does anyone know if they work well or seen any good mounting options??

When did they start offering XM in the vette, and can a radio from that year be retrofit int the 96...?? Does the Bose Gold system have any aux input jacks available in the back?? Any data or experiences will be appreciated!!

Thanks!
Mike

you can buy aftermarket head units that are fully compatable, if you have the cash, i would go with that one

Is the head unit considered the entire stereo? Would it be a "bolt in" replacement? I'll check crutchfield, but do you know of any other places??

Thanks!

actually, crutchfield would be your best choices. they likely would not just plug and play, but would be cheaper than a factory HU replacement. i used to work at a dodge dealership, and a new Head unit ran about 700 bucks...

Head unit will be expensive. I have the Delphi in my truck, and the Roady 2 on my Harley. The Delphi SkyFi interupts the signal at the antenna input, so you never have to worry about some local station messing you up. The Roady 2 allows you to quickly change the station, so that's OK too. The Roady 2 is much smaller, and has more features.

I would look hard at the ashtray area for an option. I have added this to my vette yet, I spend too much time on the Harley lately to worry about it.

I was thinking C5 when I said ashtray...I think it would still be an option on your C4, IIRC.
