I just bought me a 2000 C5 FRC but on the display it says to service the active handling.  I don't want to take it to the dealer just yet but i was wondering what could that be??  It drives fine and the active handling is on and it seems to be working properly..What could the message mean??

My 02 did this about evey 3 months but it never caused an issue. I believe it's caused by a bad sensor but I'm not sure which one. If you clear the codes from the DIC it might go away for quite some time. I also believe the sensor depending on which one can be a very expensive repair to a very cheap repair. I never did get mine fixed and never had one issue with it though.

I've heard a lot of things can make it go off...sometimes water gets where it's not supposed to be, a lot of them do have that sensor problem I've heard. One time mine actually was triggered by my motor running too hot...it was low on coolant, but once I filled it back to where it was supposed to be...drove around again and it turned off...they say almost anything can do it...
