start cutting and labeling wires to extend the wire harness.  I used about 4ft.  MAKE SURE YOU LABEL THE WIRES CORRECTLY BEFORE YOU PULL

Then...Pull the wires through to the stereo "hole" and to the new wire harness

Connect your labeled wires.  Make sure connections are tight and sealed.

Next connect the ends of the stereo harness to your pulled wires.  Make sure they are secure.

after that... I worked on the mounting bracket...

Thumbnail Image

Severe "MACGUYVERING" was necessary to make all things fit just right.  You will see what I mean when you try.  Here are some of the things that I did.  They worked for me.  Feel free to make improvements as you see fit.

A little cardboard to fill the gap and add support since only one mounting bracket screw hole lined up right.

I used some styrofoam to make "pillars".  This was cut from the styrofoam padding the new reciever in the box.  I used two pieces on the left side to hold up the bracket and shelf where there was no screw to mount to... you'll see.
