I have a 1969 corvette with the 4 speed manual trans and a 427 engine, that brakes 472 bhp on the rear wheels.

i'd realy like to supercharge it. the first obsticle on the roade is that the engine is a high comp. engine and if i'v understud right i'll have to de-comp it to put on a supercharger.
i don't want to do this.
but by a new engine, that I can doo.

I'm kind of new in this game.

so is the 427 ore the 454 the prefered choice?
and where do i get a supercharger that dosn't poke up true the hood. caus i'd like the supercharger to be hidden.
or atleast have the least amout poking up.

i'v been in contact with lysholm in Sweden. and they have a supercharger that i could use, does anyone have any experience with these superchargers??

and last but not least, what kind of BHP can i get just by puting on for instance a duble 650 hollycarbuettor with a 671 supercharger on the 454 Big block???
thanks a lot for all the responce.

bytheway I hope i'm excused for my bad english, I'm just a Norwegian loving the american V8 cars.

Thanks

Welcome to CF!
Sounds like you have ambition and there are those here that can help ya out, but with a 671, you're way out of my league.

I think I would stay with the 427/472 horses. The 454 is the same physical size as the 427, it doesn't leave much room under the hood for much more than "motor".

671 may not bee enough for what you want. Look into a 1071 or? but with most any whistler you are going to need a high hood/scoop or it will be doing some serious poking out. Sounds like a fun car like it is. Got any pictures? Cheers

Have you check a Procharger (http://www.procharger.com/chevy_corvette_uh.shtml) or Vortech (http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/product.php?p=139&cat_key=13) type setup?  They don't sit on top but rather down on one side like an alternator or A/C compressor.  Not sure they have a kit for our Sharks tho but where there's a will, there's a way.
