Hey guys, I have a 75' and my gas pedal seems to be sitting too close to the floor board. Is there a way to adjust the pedal heighth? There isn't even enough room for a floor mat to  fit underneath. Thanks.

I'm not aware of any adjustment.  Sounds like maybe the rod that the pedal is attached to is bent.

Have you checked to see if the carb butterflys open fully w/ the pedal fully depressed?

no, but I have a feeling it doesn't. If you push the pedal all the way down, it doesn't seem like it accelerates that much. Sounds like it might be a tough fix.

Maybe the throttle cable is too long and/or the peddle return spring is wore out or disconnected. I really don't think it would be all that hard to fix. Give yourself some credit, you can fix it after all you were smart enough to buy a vette....right? Good luck with it. Cheers

Is the carpet bunched up under the pedal? Removing floormats and restrictive carpeting can add as much as 40 HP.

or a bodyshop can cut the floor panels out and make new one that are one inch deeper then the pedal can go further. JUST KIDDING

Didn't Lars used to grab the pedal and pull until it bent forwards? Over the years the throttle cable stretches. I know the throttle cables don't adjust, and a few people have put in adjustible cables. Personally I put a few zip ties around the throttle cable where it attaches to the pedal.
