I don't know if you all heard or not... but Jeff Healy, guitar player extroidinaire died a few weeks ago.  He was the blind guitar player that starred in the movie Road House with Patrick Swayze in the '80's.
Now you're probaly wondering 'why is this here?'   It's story time folks...

In the 80's and 90's, I was an audio engineer working for a large sound company based in Southern CA.  We always had the contract to provide the audio for San Diego's Street Scene.  In 1990, Jeff was the Saturday headliner on the big stage.  His crew arrived on time, so we set and sound checked early to be ready for him when he finally got there.  At 5pm we were starting to get nervous... the show was at 7pm... and by 6pm we were getting scared.  At 6:15 the security guys called and said he just passed through the gates.

So, here we are, all standing on the stage watching this beautiful black Eagle tour bus coming toward us on this closed 4 lane street.  It was kind of weaving a little... but not too bad.  At 10' from the stage... we see Jeff behind the wheel... kind of strange 'cause he was blind as a bat... with this HUGE sh*t eatin grin on his face.  He gets up, steps out of the bus and all he said was... 'I got lost'.

RIP Jeff... hope you all laugh at this as much as I did.
