Guessing this has been discussed previously, so bear with me. Am relatively new C5 owner who prefers to do my own oil changes and know what I need, just unsure of best equipment. I have a set of the yellow metal ramps with plastic extenders that may work, but not very wide and I like the idea of the lightweight plastic products.  I can buy Rhino ramps (8000# or 12000#) for <$50 or Race Ramps for $200+ depending on regular or XT model. Have not seen either in person, but pics of Race Ramps appear to be longer with lower approach angle. So, does $150-200 more for the Race Ramp buy that much more quality, etc.  Thanks

These worked fine - 2 x 6's; I've got 2 x 8's cut now. $0, 10 minutes.

Rhino ramps will work just fine if you have not lowered your C5 with the factory adjusting bolts. The flexible spoiler will scrape a bit with a non-lowered C5, but rubbing on plastic ramps does no harm.

If you do lower your car, you can either get some mini-ramps or build your own from 6x6 wood. I drive up on the wood mini-ramps (fron and rear) and then (after placing wheel chocks behind the back tires) jack the whole front end up with a floor jack. I then place the Rhino ramps under the front tires and then jack up the rear (for changing the oil). Jack stands with wooden caps hold up the rear.

Race Ramps are nice but very expensive.
