Hey Guys, Help! 1978 Corvette- No brake fluid getting to rear calipers. How to I reset the proportioning valve? Thanks in aavance.

That should reset itself. Try cracking the lines on the master cyl. one at a time while someone steps on the pedal to see if you getting any fluid out there first. Sounds like a bad master cyl. If you changed the master and didn't bench bleed it first you'll never get it to work.

My 3/4 ton van sat for awhile prior to my buying it and when I replaced the pads, calipers and cylinders, front disc and rear drum, I wasn't getting any fluid to the back brakes. I had to blow the lines out w/ my compressor. There was a clog somewhere in the metal lines going to the rear. I just went through the whole thing from front to back as I figured if it had crud in one place it may have some in another. A semi-time-consuming chore, but the only way to do it right. Good Luck.

Hey Guys, Thanks for all your advice. I tried bleeding the master cylinder one more time and you guessed it,nothing but little spirts of air coming out. Put the new one on tomorrow and see what other trouble I can find.
