I have a factory side exhaust system that I am going to retrieve from storage and inspect. It was installed on my '69 corvette. The covers and mufflers are factory. They were set up to connect to bolt to side exit headers, headman? I think. Too many years gone by. I believe I have everything including small block headers, mufflers, covers, screws mounting gromments etc. I need to check condition of chrome and I believe the tail section of the right hand cover (90 deg. exhaust exit) will need to be replaced, looks like Ecklers sells this part . I am guessing my best bet is to put this stuff on e-bay? Any suggestions and input regarding value of these parts would be appreciated.

I'm interested. Are they the same for big block as they are for small block?? I thought I read somewhere the side pipe was a smaller diameter...

Hi Todd,
I do not know for sure but as I recall they are the same. I plan on selling
the entire system including the headers. I have sent out the front and rear
sections of the side covers to be re-chromed, to make them perfect...ouch!
$500!... but I decided to restore them to like new condition and a friend
suggested I sell them on ebay. He said factory original side exhaust systems
are pretty rare these days. I had this set-up on my '69 vette and then in
storage for about 20 years. I will get the re-chomed parts back in about 3
weeks and if you think you would like to check them out I will send you
digital photos and all the details.
