New member here,

I know your going to think I'm an Idiot.

Here goes. I started to put a new stereo in my 79 and noticed that the previous owner had made some changes to where the wires should go.

I started to trace wires and decided to rewire the fuse panel. What a mistake that was. I have finished the rewire. I hope the wires are correct.

I forgot to do a diagram of what amp fuses and where they go.

Can someone out there help me?

PS. I do have a fire exstinguisher close by. Ha! Ha!

Thank you,

SKMCORVETTE

Fire extinguser is good.

If ya get the wiring diagram, Corvette Shop Manual, and the plant assembly manual you'll have about the best info out there. Of course, don't forget us, we have some real sharp folks here.

c3 starship,

Thank you for your response. I tried to respond back but I was experiencing Comp problems.
I have the wiring diagram and assembly manual. Not much help. Info probably in shop manual. The 1 I don't have.
I was browsing the other topics and found where WRWALKE posted a panel for an 82. Looks to be similar.

Thank you for your help and thank you WRWALKE.

Hey skm, welcome to the forum. Are you looking for the correct amp for each circuit? I've got a '78 and can give you the info from my wiring diagram. I can also check my panel to verify if that would help you any.

Thanks 78 buckshot,
I took C3 Starships advice and bought a GM Corvette Shop Manual.
It cost $98.00 but it is well worth it the book has everything in it.
I connected the battery and nothing caught on fire!
I then got the nerve to turn the key and nothing blew up!
There is nothing like the satisfaction of a job that is done and it works.
I think I will finish up tomorrow and take it for a test drive.
I can't wait. I guess that's why I'm on the computer at 12:00
Too excited to sleep.
Only a few more projects left to do on the car.
New interior.. I stripped it out during the rewire.
Then the final touches a 400 small block w/671 blower and sidepipes.
Don't worry collectors!
The car numbers don't match so it will never be a collector.
Though it will defintley be an eye catcher.

Thank you,
skmcorvette

You guy's are great,

It is so nice to know there is help and so many nice people that are willing to help! Thank you, 73 shark and riley6riley.
It,s going to take sometime for the huffer. The interior is next. I will post some pictures. May not be up to some of yall's rides but at least I'm in the game. Does anyone know of carbon fiber makers of console side panels? Thought it may be a nice touch and more durable than stock cardboard with carpet.

Thanks again,
skmcorvette
