79 driver side window won''t go up or down. just stopped working. when working the switch I can hear a faint click inside the door. any ideas ?

Hi gigabyte, I would look at the wires that are between the door and the frame, sometimes from years of opening and closing they brake at that point. PG.

Also check the regulator spring. If it breaks, the motor isn''t strong enuf to raise the window by itself. But then you said it won''t go down either. Is it up or down or somewhere in between? Don''t forget the relay which I think is in the console but may be different in the 79s.
