I have a 75 convertible and the car has sat for many years. I replaced the hoses coming off the radiator because they were about to burst, but after i did that and fired it up the radiator kicked the bucket...So far i have gotten the fan blade and first half of the shroud off but the second half of it seems to be wedged between the radiator and upper A-arms. How do i get it out without cracking trhe plastic? This is my first vette to work on so any helpful advice for replacing the radiator is appreciated.

thanks
ethan

As I recall, you can pull the rad and leave the bottom of the shroud in place.

You may not have to remove the shroud.  it should pull away from the radiator emough to pull the radiator straight up and out.  I replaced a 79 radiator and the shroud pulled toward the block enough to lift the radiator straight up and out. good luck

Welcome to the Corvette Forum.

If you have A/C, you can either remove condensor or cut the bottom of the shroud in order to squeeze it together to remove it.
