aldous -> L88 clone, purchased (8/17/2008 6:57:03 AM)

Hi there,
I''ve been away for a while but there''s a reason... I wanted a BB and finally I got this.
It''s really a nice clone. the engine is 80-90% L88 ( correct 68 block, crank , cam , intake ,valve and lifters,  carb...heads are not aluminum , but iron non ported)
the trans is the M22 rock crusher.
frame off made 7 years ago.
I''m awaiting for the car to arrive ( not earlier than late sept, early oct)

will tell you more about later

Nice looking ''69 BBC Corvette!  Good luck w/ it.  Bet it''ll seem like a long 4-6 weeks.

Aldo,
  Just looked at the blown up version of the pics you posted.  Beautiful car, to say the least.  But you better get some big sticky rear tires, as you''ll spin that rear set off the rims in one big burn-out.  LOL  That thing will be a novelty over there in Italy.

Of course I can''''t wait to have her here...

I''''ll keep her as it is for a while, then I''''ll bring her to the original colour , Cortez silver. the car is an original 69 sidepipes ( exhaust holes missin on the back). quite a rare option  and for this reason I should go for a pair factory sidepipes. It should look like the silver car in the small pic.

but the idea of making her a vintage race car is taking my mind. look at pics.
american racing rims, Hooker sidepipes, the paint scheme of the white model car ( but silver base). Of course sticky tires , yes , but which? Hoosier?
any suggestion is welcome.
those racing L88 in pics were stock cars ( stock suspensions and rims) and raced at Daytona at +160mph. I''''ll love to be able to drive mine at least at 120-130mph
