Did I ever tell you guys about driving in traffic w/ my ''62 pick-up on a Saturday in the mid to late ''80s, about 100 degrees, regular Texas day, and the positive wire for my radio, which was plugged into the fuse box,  shorted out, was rubbed bare on the rear of my fan switch. (the old knob with the pull-out slidding rod)  As it melted the coating(insulation), it burned along it''s way from fuse box over to the radio under the dash smoking like hell and in the process burned over the mechanical oil pressure gauge line, cutting/melting it and now I was pumping oil all over the floor at about 45 lbs.,and with the cab filled w/ smoke already and it also pouring out the windows, it lit a bag on fire that was on my floor board and it started smoking like hell also. LOL  It all happened so quickly, and really nothing too dangerous, but a real crazy situation which caused alot of people to look and watch as I pulled over and got everything under control.  Good thing at the time I still smoked alittle weed and was feelin'' pretty good, so instead of punching the dash or something, my girl and I laughed our asses off, cleaned everything up and went about our business.  I had a little better time than you did Schoon.  LOL

All I can say is make sure you have a bat cut off switch in you classic.
Most important if you keep it in your garage.
