I would be interested in suspension set ups for autocross and engine set ups at well, but mostly suspension. What spring rates front and back, what ratio of antiroll for what driving characteristics, understeer, neutral steer, oversteer. Sway bar size front and back, any customizations such as adding an additional link in the upper rear to maintain camber.

One word of advice I can ofer is that if you are wanting to be a serious autox driver and the car is also street driven, I would highly recommend getting as many adjustable parts as possible. Adjustable sway bars, struts/shocks, and so on.

Well I can tell you what I have done so far with the engine. I got the AFR 190 heads, the roller cam recommended, 1.6 roller rockers for more lift, stroke the crank to 3.75, carb and manifold change. Plenty of HP and even more torque. As for the suspension, I have a sway bar upgrade to 1 1/8 inch front and 1 inch rear. I have a fiberglass spring in the back that was in the car so I don't know what the spring rate is. I'm not sure what springs are in the front, but I did have stock rear sway bars so I must have had the performance package for 1979. So if anybody knows what that spring rate would be I would appreciate the information. I was interested in adding a upper link in the rear soon. I put the 1 1/8 - 1 inch sway bar combination as per a Herb Adams recommendation, but I called Guldstrand and they thought the bars were to big in the back and the fiber glass spring is a no no. Any thougths on the subject?

I have a '80 L82 and put in a "Max Performance Suspension Package" from EKLERS.
Mono-spring front and rear, fully tuneable as to ride height and spring responce on all 4 corners. 1 1/4 front and 3/4 rear sway bars. I don't know about Auto X but works really great on the road. This is a complete kit that bolts in, no mods needed. Shocks, springs, a-frames, and more. Check it out at EKLERS.

I have wanted to auto cross for a while now and on the weekend i finaly got out to an event in grand forks nd . first off I was running my bone stock 86 conv. vette with street tires ( everyone else had race tires on ) I had a blast , the people were great and the track very intresting . I had a friend who has been doing this for 16 years showing me the ropes ( he placed first over all )
Like I said WHAT A BLAST . now I just have to get my race tires on and do it again.

I am installing poly bushing, adjustable flat front spring, larger sway bars, camber brace and wider wheels. I am in BSP with this car.

Buy their complete package.

You will be amazed.

Here's some stuff about my C4 if you want.  www.buckmorris.com
The one thing I will change is the shocks.
I am going to KONI DA's but I am pretty competitive.
