4:10? Lower gas mileage. Speedo off. Odo off. Inconveniences is all they''ll amount to...

I think computer can be programed for speedo adjustment. What do you think of driveability. I know 4:10s would make a great stoplight racer. Probably wear out a set of tires really quick. Just wondering how it would be for all around driving. Don''t really care about gas mileage. 6th gear is really tall. Does anyone have any input on rpms at highway speeds for each gear ratio. Thanks for input. Dave Thumbnail Image

Hey,Dave....if anything,I would go with the 3.73 set if you want to drive your car everyday...yes,the 4.10 set will improve acceleration, but think about how high your rpm''s will be just going for a long drive. The computer can be programmed for whatever ratio you choose, speedo, shifting, whatever you want, but mileage will suffer.....unless,of course, since we are talking about your Vette, you decide to do what''s best for you....which I know you will. But honestly, for a daily-driven car,the 3.73 is the best bet.Still gives great performance along with a minimal decrease in mileage and not to mention durability...but since we all share our thoughts, this is mine.May God bless you and yours....but no matter what, enjoy your Vette!!!! I sure do!!! The best...Joe.

Well since I have a Dana 44 w/373 gears in my Hot Rod I say if you want to have a driver then the 373 is enough. I have a LT 4 engine w/ 390 RW HP , built TCI 4L60 E and 3200 stall. Yes you can reprogram the speedo I did and w/4L60 E I can drive 70 and still get 12 to 13 MPG W/315x17x10.5 Drag Radials on it. Thats better than some old stock trucks I used to have get. The 410 would be fine if you don''t plan on driving any great distances.

Thanks you guys for all your thoughts. Looks like 3:73 is the best all around option. Thanks again Dave Thumbnail Image
