took my c5 to have pass.side hvac actuator replaced, piked up car ac worked great.just about home, turned on turn signal did''nt work, got home went to check all lights,no brake lights, turn signals,no fog lights,no4-ways.took back to shop.1 week later went to pick up again, fixed headlights, brake and turn signals, shop said 4way switch was not connected.one week later went out to dinner, came out after dark,no tail lights, fog, dash lights.called shop next day, tech stated my headlamp motors or relays were probably bad, also stated tech put in 15amp fuse in place of 10amp for headlights, now headlights come on,but when turned off lights stay up.I bought the car new 1997 never had any electrical problems.any body know what could have happened when they pulled the dash out to replace the actuator?Or putting 15amp fuse where 10amp fuse should have been?I now cannot drive at night, and am reluctent to take back to the shop.Any help out there?

It could be a coincidence, but a common issue in our cars is an electrical connector that is located in the driver''s door protective accordian covering, located near the door hinge. One of the wires going into the connector can come loose and short out against ground or other wires, causing the issues you describe. I''d check that out, first and if that isn''t the problem, you might want to consider taking your car to a different Corvette specialty sho - one that is recommended by the locals.

Good luck!

Dave
