     I bought a 79 corvette last week as a project car ( no exhaust, seats not in yet and other stuff ). Got the exhaust finished last night and put the seats in and discovered my head hits the t top! I''m not a small person and I''m just over 6 ft, I like the car but the seats need to be lower by 1 to 2 inches... I think 2 would be ideal. Any cost effective way to do this so I don''t have to sell it? Thanks!

Hi jpringlemn, congratulations on your new Vette and welcome to the forum.
You question made me laugh! I''m tall too and you have to learn to slouch down in the seat or drive with the T Tops off!
If you take the T Top headliner off you will get about 1 more inch. If you ever see Zora and his test drivers it looks like they were about 5''9", I always wondered why someone hasn''t come out with a T Top that has a bulge where your head goes, something like the Viper roof.
The problem only got worse when I got new foam and seat covers, not sure if the new foam was larger or if the old foam was compressed after 26 years. PG.

I have discovered that it becomes less of a problem w/ age as you gradually get shorter over time.  [:D]

Dosen''t sunshade or somthing like that make a one piece polycrbonite top for our C3''s with a bump in it? I''ve seen them some where. have to look again.
