the 04 z06 runs 11.5s @ 120 with radials with a 1.7 60 foot and the ls3 runs 11.82 @ 118 with radials with a 1.7 or 1.8 60 foot if these two cars would street race from a 40-45 roll who will win

This is really a race that is too close to call, but if I had to pick which car to own and further modify to win all the time, that would be the LS3.

ok just wondering cause i raced that ls3. when him and his buddy were racing they took off and i down shifted behind them and i was pulling on both pretty hard . when i raced the ls3 it was different i wasnt pulling away or nothing i just got the jump off the start i was in front all the way and then he started pulling hard. plus he has nitrous on the ls3 and i dont know if he used nitrous to pull on me or what. but i know 6-speed has more top-end than an auto and i even have more top-end at the track than him. people r telling that he sprayed cause there is no way he can win with the times he is running and the mph tells it all.

Interestingly, I saw almost this very race today (I was up in virginia from NC where I live), between two cars so close to these descriptions the differences are unimportant. The C6 won: 12.74 to 12.96 or something: (maybe not the best track or day): the C6 just had more power they were even off the line and the C5 had it on gears up to about 70, but the C6 had more power and edged it out with a trap speed 5 mph higher. Both had good street tires although I don''t recall what. I ran the winner in my Aston and lost (13.1 to 12.88) but beat the time of the C5 ZO6 and had a higher trap speed than both. Still, the C6 was damn quick.
