I just bought my first vette - Victory Red (what other color for a vette?) 2008 C6 with the 3LT package. Awesome is weak but the best I can come up with for now. In 1959 I owned an 1952 MG TD briefly (couldn''t afford to do the neccessary repairs as I was a young Airman) but it sure was fun for the short while I owned it. In 1996 I bought a 1989 Toytota Supra Turbo will all the bells & whistles offered on that model. Great car - kinda hate to part with it - at 99,960 actual miles, it looks like new and runs like new. The Supra was a quantum leap from any other vehicle I had perviously owned. This 2008 vette is a quantum leap beyond the Supra - that''s a lot of leaps! I still feel more confident in high speed curves with the Supra as the vette sort of skitters a mite but I suspect I''ll gain confidence as time passes & miles accumilate (only 642 so far). Lordy Lordy, I found myself searching for a fresh pair of Fruit-of-the-Looms shortly after pressing the gas pedal all the way down. This vette aint no toy! I told my friends that, if something should happen that caused me not to be able to operate a vehicle anymore, I could get pretneer as much enjoyment out just going to the garage and admiring it - run an occasional microfiber lovingly along its flanks, etc...... Corvette has come a longggg way from the 1975 Sting Ray I test drove before buying the Supra...... moved right smack dab into the world of exotic sports cars and..... at a price those other exotics can''t come close to matching. Ya....... I''m hooked...... big time!
