No brake lights.....everything else works.  What is the problem?  03 LS1 6 speed

Checked:  fuse is good
             flashers work
             turn signals work
             running lights work
             bulbs are all good
             center brake light works
             backup lights work
             license plate light works

Plugged in a differant rear harness with same results.

I''m stumped!

Have you checked for 12 volts at the brake light connectors when someone is tepping on the brake pedal? If there is no voltage, the brake light switch may be bad. If there is voltage, then your bulbs are bad.

That is something I did not think of.  Is it in the usual place that I can reach from inside the care without ripping my interior out or should i start looking on the firewall?  I guess I don''t know were to look on a vette.

thanks for the first response

Are you saying that you DID check for voltage at the tail lights? I would check the brake light switch ONLY after ensuring that there is no voltage at the tail lights when you''re braking.

The brake light switch should be under the brake pedal somewhere. I''d put the seat all the way back, grab a flashlight and take a look.

I did not check voltage at the tail light socket.  I will do that, but was thinking that all four lights going out at the same time would pretty irregular. You never really know until you test......

thanks again
