Hey guys,

Im wondering if you guys have alot of problems scraping the front end of your vettes while pulling in and out of driveways. Reason im asking is my dad is really considering picking up a 2003 50th Anniversary Vette with 1k miles on it soon and but he is relucant cause he thinks he is really gonna scrape the front scrape guard pulling in our driveway.
My RSX is lowered about an inch and 3/4s and im running the A-Spec lip kit and i rarely scrape (really only do when im running on my stock 16s rather than my 18s and when i dont angle it too much.) But i was comparing my RSX to the Vette and that front scrape guard really sits low on it so it will definately get scraped somewhat. My dad really wants to keep this car in immaculate condition considering the mileage its got and that its a 50th anni. coupe hence the concern about scraping.
Do you guys have this problem with your vettes?
Know of any solutions to the problems besides getting the driveway ramp repaved?

One thing your dad will learn very quickly about being a Vette owners is your going to scrape that underbody spoiler on EVERYTHING, but the great thing about it is it is less than $100 to replace it and very easy to replace, just a couple of screws. He will probably never scrape the bottom of the car itself, and even if he does there are 2 metal bars under the nose called skid bars that are designed to scrape against the ground and protect the undercarriage of the vehicle. If he is still concerned about it there are a few different things you can buy to futher protect the car. See Below:

Skid Plate Protectors

New Spoiler Kit

Mt vette is lowered an inch and scraps going in and out. I just live with it. No big deal.

My driveway is VERY steep at the point where it meets the road...I can pull in BUT can not pull out, I have to back out, which is a pain cuz it's 200+ feet & winds. But I've gotten used to it so no biggie. I've only ran into 2 other entrance drives in 3,000 miles where my front end scrapes & I try to hit those at an angle. We actually didn't kno if we'd be able to get ours on the driveway because of the incline, that's how severe it is.

ill give my dad the heads up to those parts to further protect the front end - he'll probably want to get one or two of them just to be on the safe side.
