I recently bought a 1981 Vette. The very fist time I drove it to work a young girl was (illegally) backing out of a parking place and naturally backed all over the left quarter of my new baby. Damage wasn't real noticeable but there was approx. a 2" rip in the fiberglass and alot of stress cracks in the paint. I called the cops, the girl called her mother, and everyone (including the cop) treated me like an a##hole for getting an accident report. Cop estimated damage at $200 bucks and the girls mother kept giving me dirty looks for ruining her daughters day. Long story short the "real" estimate was $1200. Repairs are done and the care is good as new.
