That is a good bit of power. Some comments: Traction. You can go to slightly wider rubber (305s will fit on a C5, I think, not sure). Going to drag radials will also help but you give away all wet weather performance (can't even drive at 25 mph on a moist road). But to do this right you need: - to tub the rear wheel wells so much wider tires will fit. Lingenfelter sells a kit - everything you need including hardware to relocate some minor shock absorber stuff. You can install the kit yourself but it requires cutting and using body adhesive: Lingenfelter's Ed Taylor described it as "the type of thing that is really easy the second time you do it." I had a body shop do it, they chargedabout $700. - put on wider wheels, 11 inch minimum, 12 inch or 13 inch wide. I went with 12.5 inch wide and 18 inch diameter instead of 19 in because BFG drag radials only come in 18 inch -- I run 345 wide. Wheels this wide were quite rare and $$$$ when I bought them, but I understand there are now some ZO6 look alikes in 12 inch width at reasonable prices, and others. - then wider tires, 335 or 345 section width - Michelin makes one, I think Pirelli, and BFG makes a great 345 x 18 drag radial. Also note, you get only 4000-5000 miles on the street with a set of $340 each drag radials (but then, you get only about 15K miles with the Michelins - performance does have its price. Do you have a stock bottom end? if so, take it very easy. I've seen several 525+HP blown cars split the block or pistons.

Hi again the bottom end is stock. I will probably have it changed out this winter. mean while I'll be checking out some of your leads on tires and wheels, and also, the lingenfelter kit. one after market co. is offering the rear quarter kit from a Z06, that would probably give me room for some larger tire and wheels. thanks for advice Ray
