Just finished installing the B2 Vararam system. Not to bad, an hour or so for the last 3 nights. Everything fit fine on my '04 C5 LS1. so the question i have is, the seal does not seem very tight at the filter. The curve of the top does not seem to fit the curve of the bottom half. cannot get a visual because of the access. is this what i should expect? Thanks for your comments. Dennis in Denver.

for anyone that cares, seems that the Vararam system is in another redesign? so, i was told by Vararam that i have a lower airbox and a different top air box. and who nos what kind of air fliter. I suggest that anyone interested in purchasing this product to contact vararam.com to make sure that what they buying is the complete system.

Vararams are known by many C5 owners as being very hard to install and align so that good sealing is ensured. You might want to read this: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/showthread.php?t=1088917&forum_id=1

WOW! Thanks so much Dave. Although I have the "new fangled" filter, it is not the filter i am worried about it is the air box fit. The upper air box does not fit well to the lower air box. VR has promised to send the correct top but have not received it yet. Only have about 50 miles on it, will keep an eye on things. Just goes to show ya the value of this forum!!

I think one guy had to add extra fastening points to improve the seal of his vararam. I guess you can always duct-tape it until you receive the improved top and yes, keep an eye on it periodically to make sure dirt isn't getting past the filter. Dave

Installing Corsa cat back sytem next week. Going to be hard to stay off of it then, hoping VR comes thru with a better fitting top air box.
