That sounds like a decent price, considering the miles. Here's a couple more: http://www.corvettetrader.com/corvettes1997.htm

I think they will come down to $38,500.....I was trying to stay below $36,000......but it is awfully tempting....being it is 1 owner and less than 3,000 miles...but that is quite a bit of cash....

I sent you an IM. $38K is too much, IMO. If a non-Z06 C5 with low miles is going for $31K, a Z06 of the same year should not fetch $6K more unless it has an expensive mod or mods, such as high-end wheels, intake and exhaust.

Dave01, So you're thinking the 38 to 39K for that 02 with less than 3000 miles is too much then? a couple messages above I thought you said it was descent, considering the miles? I sent you an IM a while ago....should have posted it on here for others to see...but wanting to see what you all think...between the 02 one above and one I found locally here in Spokane, WA here today....test drove it today actually....a 2003 50th Anniversary with a little under 7,000 miles.....they want $41,500 (they have $42,995 on the window) for it...may be able to talk them into less....but seems to not make much sense to buy a year newer car with twice the mileage for $2,500 more....even if it is a 50th Anniversary edition?????? Both are GM Certified Used vehicles with clean CARFAX reports. Kevin

Kevin, What I meant was that the retail price sounds like it is in the ballpark. Of course, dealerships always try to get a premium over what the average Joe would ask. I advise many people to be armed with prices taken from Autotrader/Corvettetrader before bargaining with a dealership. I remember why I decided to buy a new C5, back in 01. The dealerships around here were trying to sell used ones for only a few thousand less than a new one. In your case, a $41K used Z06 is getting fairly close to the base price of a coupe. While it's true at times that "He who hesitates is lost", more often than not, the person who researches the most, gets the best deal. Dave
