I took this '56 Hard Top, that I paid $80 for, about 30 yrs ago. Rotted out floor boards, broken widows, and no interior or engine, added a 2 sp power glide, that I paid $150 for.........

loaded it on a trailer, and headed for Winnimucca , Nevada!

Dropped the '56 in his yard.....

Loaded up the 454.....

When I got back home, after doin' a 120 mile, at 80 mph +, cruise with a '57 Nomad......

I unloaded the 454....

Then tucked it away, safe and sound, in my storage container.

Well, that's how my last Sunday went, how was yours?

Well, I'm way behind schedule, but the 350 is out, weather be damned!
Now the clean up of the engine compartment begins.

heres a helpful tip for your electric fan...once upon a time ford ****ed up and did somthing right...go to the junk yard and find an older torus (sp?) and nab the fan from that. they got 2 fans and are the desirable S shape that seem to do a good job. i paid 15 bucks for mine and they keep my small block at about 150 on average...just make sure to use    40 amp fuses <<<<<important! ! ! this def. beats paying 400 bucks for the aftermarket, which look exactly the same. and they beat the hell out of the ol' meat grinder.

have fun....oh and mount them IN FRONT of your radiator if you have room (i removed my A/C condencer)

Hey Sean,
Thanks for the tip on the fans, any idea on what years the Tarus had these?

Hey busnut,
I love space flicks, been a "Star Treck" fan from the git go, hence the "Starship". I did name my 'puter "Hal". I usually get the "Dave's not here" line from Cheech and Chong.
Thanks for the tip on that site, I'll def check it out.
