I bought my 72 coupe brand new in 72 and it had factory side pipes on it but they rusted out after a few years and i could't afford to replace them so i put under the car mufflers on it. I would like to put those Hooker 4 into 1 side pipes on it but I don't want to lose points at the shows. What are your thoughts? Thanks for your advice.

I put the side pipes on my '81. Do you still have the covers for the original pipes? I would think that the covers would keep the car looking original, although I'm sure decent judges would notice the aftermarket pipes and deduct points. The complete Hooker system was about $1250 with shipping and everything, how much are OEMs going to cost you? Where are you looking for them?
