1953 Chevrolet holographic pin promo item
I'm hoping some forum members can provide me with some information. My wife's grandfather had a Chevrolet dealership in the 1950's in Hanover PA. One item I have is a Chevrolet logo pin that is almost 3 inches wide. It is holographic. One image shows the word Chevrolet against a field of yellow and white stripes with a yellow highlight above the word Chevrolet and red shadow details -- and the other image shows the number '53 in white against blue in the center with one blue star in a white box on either side. On the back is a gold pin with a hook latch mounted on a piece of wood grain plastic on top of the white backing material.
My question -- is this one of the first holographic pins used for advertising/promotion and what could it be worth? I imagine it might be one of the last surviving examples. |
