327 / 340 cam specs

Welcome to the forum.
Based on my 1975 parts catalog, the part number would be 3736097. The part number for the 1964 & 1965 fuelie, and 1970 LT-1 which would probably be the same as the 69 Z-28 cam or very close to it is 3972178. It is very possible that these part numbers have changed over the years although they did stay the same up until my latest catalog which was 1983. Hope this helps.

The original Duntov cam was a .012"Intake---.018" Exhaust lash cam, the last factory installation would have been 1963. In 1964 they went with the .030--.030" lash camshaft that continued as stated above into the 302 Z28 and 1970/71 LT1. This cam which has very loppy idle in the 302 Z28 smooths out the idle and with improved mid range torque when installed in larger displacement 350 small block engines. I pulled a 030--030 cam out of a 365 HP 327 and installed a Duntov cam and found that the mid range torque was improved and also overall driveability was improved in a C2 Corvette.over the 30-30 cam.
