64' Vette Electric Wiring

:eek:I have a 64' Vette with tail/stop ligh problems. I just found one wire in the steering colums that was crushed under a bracket and shorted out. I fixed it. Is there some good information on wiring these cars. It seems like one tail light is wired to the brake light element in the bulb. Then when the tail lights are on, one brake light does not work. Also the turn signals are not working. With something this old, is it recommended to replace all of the wires? Can I find more information about the wiring as I do not have any experience? Thanks for any help you can provide. Dale
