Leaking Holley

I have a C2 with a Holley carb. It's leaking gas on both sides, puddling in the center intake crevices. It appears to be coming from the base/gasket area. I've considered replacing the gasket but have to question if something else isn't going on up in the carb; where is this gas coming from to penetrate the base gasket. Numbers on it identifies it as a 66' 327/300 replacement unit Thanks to any insight/suggestions.

The first thing I would do with it is to tear it down and put a fresh rebuild kit in it. Is it a standard square bore Holley or the infamous spread bore?

Never had a Holley that did not leak after shutting off hot engine. Heat expands gas in fuel bowl and it runs down on throttle shaft and leaks on each side of carb. My fix is after engine is cold put paper towels outside of carb throttle shaft. I have had carbs rebuilt but did not solve problem. Be sure to remove towels before driving

Welcome to the forum. That sounds like the float level might be set too high and the throttle shaft bores need to be bushed.
