1969 Production Start
 

I am trying to find out exactly when production started on the '69 Corvettes. The trim tag on mine shows H27 and I would like to know what month this represents. Thanks:D

Production of the 69 Corvette began in September of 68. If your VIN is between 703001 and 703041 it was built in Sep 68. The last 6 numbers of your VIN will tell you when it was built. Mine is 730816 which equates to around September 29, 1969.

august 27. if you look on the front of the block passenger side, there is a flat pad there are two sets of numbers, one set will have numbers and letters, this will tell you when your motor was built and what type of motor it is. thr other numbers should match your vin.

my books show production on 69 started in sept. 1968. your vin number will tell what month your car was made.
