1976 Unplanned Restoration – Suspension Suggestions Appreciated
Hey Everyone,
A few weeks ago I bought my dream car, 1976 Stingray Coupe. Three days later it self destructs. So I now have a new ZZ4 and transmission waiting to go back in. This is where my suspension problems showed up. With no power train it is easy to see things I don’t like. I basically want to replace all the wearing parts and I have been doing some research on different vendors. Dose anyone have any suggestions for manufacturers of shocks (KONI?) ball joints, U joints, Tie Rod ends, bushing kits (Energy Suspension?), wheel bearings, and so on. I prefer quality and performance over originality, since it was not original when I got her. I would like to do this right the first time to match how I drive (aggressive), and I would appreciate any words of wisdom from those who have done this before. Thanks, Darcy |

Check out Eklers.com. I recently had their mono-spring (front and rear) suspention installed. It comes as a complete kit. Runs under $3000.00. Well worth it! Motorcycles can't keep up in the turns. This system is for Autocross but works fantastic for hard drivers who like turns. This is a fully tunnable system on all four corners of your Vette.
