200-4Trana

Hello all
I have been restoring a 81 corvette
rebuilt motor with vortex heads and putting in a 200-4 trans that has been rebuilt before I got it and has never ran it’s all still new and was rebuilt in 2002
anyway pulled the pan tonight to put in a b&m shift programmer
then I found it has a mod in it
seem like someone took out the lockup control valve out and put a zip tie on the tv cable bracket inside the trans
now I don’t know what I have or what to do about it here is a picture of it
any help would help me
thx

This issue is above my pay grade, however may I suggest you stop in at a local transmission shop and ask them. I am curious why someone would remove that. Keep us posted, and good luck!

my advice to you would be find a reputable transmission shop that has experience with performance transmissions either building or rebuilding. Removing the Transmissions capability of locking up in my opinion defeats the whole purpose of switching over to that 200 4R
another tip is to find that transmission out of a Cadillac Eldorado mid to late 80s or a Buick grand national
